2017.9.10 Colossians 3:12-17 Practicing Version of “Getting together in the name of the Lord”
There could be people who have good understanding and knowledge of the Bible and those who are able to teach, but more important is to practice.

➀ Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.
Do we have peace in our hearts? Is it the peace of Christ? Our attitude should not be passive, just waiting for the peace of Christ, but think what needs to be done. What’s in our hearts? If we should have fear, hatred, grudges, grievances or the like, we should rely on the love of Christ.
Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father and I too will love him and show myself to him.
John 13:34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
Christ (God) loves us. Whoever knows Christ (love), will love Christ (God) Whoever loves Christ will obey his commands. Whoever loves Christ will love one another. Therefore, peace of Christ will rule in our hearts.
Practical ways to let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.
Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Colossians 3:14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

➁ We are saved to love one another.
Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Ephesians 4:1 1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
