2018.06.24 Romans 8:31-39 “Tasting the Love of God in our Daily Life”

“Paul’s sincere prayer for new believers”

Ephesians 3:16-20 16.that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His spirit in the inner man, 17.so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18.may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19.and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

We take it for granted that God loves us. However, if we should seriously think about it and acknowledge his love, we should want to share with others.

➀ Rejoicing that you are known by God

1 Chronicles 28:9 for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts.

God knows everything about us – our situations, thoughts and deeds, whether good or bad – and still loves us.

➁ Rejoicing that “God is for us”

Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

What does “God is for us” mean?

・ God does not decree sin again on those who believe in him and never abandon us.

Romans 8:32-34 32.He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? 33.Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; 34.who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.

➂ Rejoicing that you are forgiven.

Romans 8:34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.

Romans 3:23-24 23.for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24.being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God does not give up on us even when we do ourselves, therefore, we should not give up the faith. God does not overlook our sins, but forgives us if we hold on to his hands reached out to us.

Psalms 32:1-2 1.How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered! 2.How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit!

Psalm 32:5 I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD”; and You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.

John 8:11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more.”

Forgiveness of Sin = Love of God

Romans 8:38-39 38.For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39.nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
