2018.02.04 Ephesians 1:15-23 “Accepting the Lordship of Christ.”

Verse of the month – Matthew 2818
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “ All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

A hedge between keeps friendship green.
Close relationship could break up unless each other show a minimum respect. ⇒
Similar relationships exist between God and ourselves.

John 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

・Jesus is our friend
・We are children of God
but at the same time,
・Jesus is our ruler and King
We learn from the Bible that they are not contradictory but are compatible.

➀ Accepting Christ’s rule, authority and dominion.
Ephesians 1:21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

Romans 14:7-8 7For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. 8If we live, we live to live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

Self-centered life – ego rules over one’s supremacy
Christ is located outside
Christ-centered live – Christ rules over one’s supremacy
One follows Christ.
