2018.3.4 Hebrews 3:1-6 “Accepting the Lordship of Christ.”
We have been made children of God and we call our Father in Heaven, “Lord.” Satisfying worldly desire is not completely wrong like working hard to get good grades at school or being successful in business. However, being under control of worldly desire will never lead to total satisfaction since we will be pursuing one goal after another. As Christians, to be under the control of the Lord means total freedom – freedom from the yoke of slavery.
What do you imagine from the word “faithful?” Find the answer from the Bible.
Hebrews 3:2 He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house
Faithfulness = having full of faith in God ⇒ A person having full of faith in God = spiritual

・Being faithful to the Lordship
➀ Being faithful to the Lord (Lord’s words).

➁ Taking Christ’s “yoke” – practicing faith in church (the body of Christ.

Putting your faithfulness into practice in the body of Christ
Hebrews 3:5 Now Moses was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later;
Hebrews 3:6 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house―whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

・Being faithful to the Lordship of God
Being faithful is having faithful relationship with Christ and being children of God and under the rule of God. If we are children of God, we are called to share the love of Christ with one another.
This we should practice in church – the body of Christ – as well as at home or at work.
