Colossians 2:16-17 16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day – 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

➀ Implementing both “Rest” and “Worship” on Lord’s Day.
Exodus 20:10 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work.

Rest is a liberation of slave situation without repose

Command of Rest (Repose)

Mark 2:27-28 27 Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.

Jesus did not break the Sabbath but taught the real meaning of the Sabbath.

Psalms 92:1-4 [A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day.] 1 It is good to give thanks to the LORD.
And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
2 To declare Your loving-kindness in the morning
And Your faithfulness by night

Exodus 20:8 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
A sabbath day without worship is not the sabbath day. A sabbath day without rest is not the sabbath day.
