2018.11.04 Isaiah 58:13-14 “Making Lord’s Day the most enjoyable day of the week.”
Isaiah 58:13-14a 13 “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please o my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the LORD’s holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, 14 then you will find your joy in the LORD.

➀ Experiencing the change from “obligation” to “joy”
Isaiah 58 13a “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please o my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight…

・ It is not simple nor easy to dedicate yourself one day of the week for the sake of the Lord.
・ It is impossible to stay away from work completely for the Lord’s Day at the present age.

・ Despite the above, is it still necessary to satisfy the law of the Sabbath with obligation?
・ Or should we give up keeping the Sabbath all together?

・ The law of the Sabbath is a promise between God and the Jews, therefore, we foreigners are not bound by the law.
・ However, we foreign Christians can to experience the joy God wanted the Jews to enjoy.
・ That is, we should decide to find joy in offering ourselves one day to the Lord on the Lord’s Day.

A. We should spend 24 hours for the Lord on Lord’s.
For example:
1. Offer worship, prayers and hymns to the Lord with brothers and sisters.
2. Offer worship, prayers and hymns with family.
3. Hold time of fellowships with the loved ones.
4. Study the word of the Lord.
5. Rest your body.

Be aware that there are a lot of things left to do on Sunday to make it the Lord’s even if it is not possible to come to church.
2. Offer worship, prayers and hymns with family.
3. Hold time of fellowships with the loved ones.
4. Study the word of the Lord.
5. Rest your body.

Isaiah 58:13-14a 13 “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please o my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the LORD’s holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, 14 then you will find your joy in the LORD, and I will cause you to rider on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob” The mouth of the LORD has spoken.
