2018.06.10 1 Chronicles 28:9-10 “Tasting the Love of God in our Daily Life.”

1 John 4:16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

“Paul’s sincere prayer for new believers”

Ephesians 3:16-19 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Why do we need to know “the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge”?

Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 24 There is nothing better for a man than to eat and drink and tell himself that his labor is good. This also I have seen that it is from the hand of God. 25 For who can eat and who can have enjoyment without Him?

Ecclesiastes 5:10 He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its income. This too is vanity.

The truth that can be learned from the Bible

・Real “happiness” and “satisfaction” can only be gained through relationship of love with God.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

1 John 4:16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

The truth we can learn from the Bible

・Real “happiness” and “satisfaction” can only be gained through relationship of love with God.

・God loves you.

Therefore, it is necessary to renew the understanding of real “happiness” and “satisfaction”

Unless we renew our own image of “happiness” and “satisfaction”, we will only take the power of God for our advantage to gain “happiness” and “satisfaction”.

So, ask yourself if you are not considering God to be just a tool for realizing your own way or acquiring what you want.
